How and Why Columbus Collaboratory Was Founded

The inspiration for Columbus Collaboratory grew out of a desire to grow high technology jobs and develop the technology ecosystem within the central Ohio region. Originally conceived by champions within the founding companies as well as the Columbus Partnership, Columbus 2020, and other key stakeholders, the company was established in 2014 to address challenges common to its founders in the areas of advanced analytics, cybersecurity, and talent. Its goals are simple: while creating operational benefits from innovation and applying common solutions to shared challenges, commercialize solutions to create a company that can endure, benefit the region, and thrive in the new tech economy.
