The Columbus Collaboratory is seeking full-time, aspiring Cybersecurity Analysts to be a part of a unique Cybersecurity Rotational Program beginning in June 2018.  You will rotate through a number of Cybersecurity departments in up to seven of the following corporations headquartered in Columbus, OH: American Electric Power, Battelle, Cardinal Health, Huntington National Bank, L Brands, Nationwide, and OhioHealth.

The Cybersecurity Analyst will gain knowledge and real-world experience in a broad set of information security areas including security operations, creating and responding to alerts, vulnerability identification, secure coding scans, reverse malware engineering and forensic analysis.

Upon completion of the approximately 1-year Program, the assignment will be complete and each Cybersecurity Analyst will have the opportunity to apply for open positions on the Cybersecurity teams at the member companies.



• Bachelor’s Degree with a major in a technical or scientific discipline, conferred on or before June 1, 2018.

• Self-motivated

• A problem solving and inquisitive mindset

• Ability to work independently as well as with teams to achieve goals

• Ability to build effective and constructive relationships across all levels of an organization

• Strong written and verbal skills with the ability to present complex concepts in an

audience-appropriate manner

• US Citizen



• Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology with specific coursework in Information Security, Computer Systems or Software Engineering

• Prior exposure to a technical operations role within information security, such as Systems Administration, Firewall Administration, Directory Services Administrator, etc.,

• Programming experience; e.g., C#, Java, Visual Basic, etc.

• General knowledge of SQL 

• Prior exposure or experience with any of the list below:

o Intrusion detection

o Logging - Analysis

o Vulnerability Management

o Operating Systems

o Network Protocols

o Anti-Virus

o Hardening Systems


o Malware Analysis
