Why Columbus Collaboratory Was Founded

The inspiration for Columbus Collaboratory grew out of a desire to grow high-technology jobs and develop the technology ecosystem within the central Ohio region. Originally conceived by champions within the founding companies as well as the Columbus Partnership, Columbus 2020, and other key stakeholders, the company was established in 2014 to address challenges common to its founders in the areas of AI and cybersecurity. Its goals are simple: to commercialize solutions by creating operational benefits from innovation and applying common solutions to shared challenges to create companies that can endure, benefit the region, and thrive in the new tech economy.
